Dr. Edwin M. (Ed) Willmington is the Director of the Fred Bock Institute of Music of the Brehm Center for Worship, Theology and the Arts, and Composer-in-Residence, at Fuller Theological Seminary.  As the institute director, Ed’s responsibilities include teaching graduate level classes related to music and worship and serving as mentor to students who lead the Fuller Seminary Chapel ministry.

Ed’s recent compositional and CD projects include “Jubilate! An Ancient-Future Concert Mass,” and “Reconciled in Christ,” the music for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of The Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization, held in Cape Town, South Africa in October 2010. He also has a special interest in encouraging the creativity of musical artists, and has developed Jubal House Publications (www.JubalHouse.com) as a means of sharing new works as tools for worship planning.

In order to model the principles of creative worship, Ed hosts an annual one-day worship training conference, Forming Hearts, Creating Art, and the Festival of Worship (www.FestivalofWorship.com), which is a creative worship gathering of choirs and instrumentalists held at the Los Angeles Cathedral.

Ed has a BA in Church Music and Conducting (Bethel University [MN]), MM in Composition and DMA in Composition—-both from the University of Arizona. Ed and his wife Mary Lou have two married daughters, Nicolette Kay and Cami Ferreira, two sons-in-law, Timothy Kay and Gus Ferreira, and four wonderful grandchildren.

Dr. Grace Chung began her musical journey at the age of four. Though her interests range far and wide, she followed the path that led her to pursue a career in music. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from La Sierra University and went on to study at the Manhattan School of Music where she received her Master of Music degree in Piano Performance. Grace then returned to California where she taught as an Adjunct Professor of Piano at La Sierra University. After several years, Grace returned to school to complete her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Keyboard Collaborative Arts as well a Graduate Certificate in Organ Performance at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music.

Throughout her years of performance, Grace has had the privilege of sharing her music all over the United States, Europe, and South America. Even while in school, Grace maintained an active performance career collaborating with many diverse and talented artists from both the classical world and the broadway stage. Some of her most memorable moments come from benefit concerts in which she was able to raise funds and support for orphanages, educational institutions, and medical clinics in Africa as well as for many of the countries that experienced hardship from natural disasters.

In addition to performing, Grace has taken on projects in writing and composition with her most recent works having been published by Jubal House and Hinshaw Music. She currently serves as the Associate Organist/Choirmaster at All Saints Episcopal Church in Pasadena, California.

Dr. Duane Funderburk has received advanced degrees in piano performance and collaborative keyboard arts from Boston University and the University of Southern California. He has performed as collaborator with various artists throughout the United States and abroad. Duane is a composer/arranger of numerous sacred choral and instrumental compositions, published by MorningStar and Jubal House. His music is frequently performed in churches and concerts throughout the United States. In addition, he is the Director of Instrumental Music at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena, California, and is a collaborative pianist/coach for the string students and faculty at Central Washington University in Ellensburg.

Dr. Josh Bauder is a Minneapolis-based composer, arranger, typesetter, conductor, and educator. His choral music, published by Jubal House, has been performed by church, university, and community choirs across the United States and abroad. In addition to his Jubal House works, he has composed two oratorios, Abraham (2014, rev. 2022) and Tyndale (2017)—the latter serving as his PhD dissertation at the University of Minnesota. Winner of the 2010 Jerome Grant for New Music and the 2015 VocalEssence Carol Contest, Josh teaches music theory and composition at the University of Northwestern – St. Paul. Josh is worship director at Grace Bible Church of Monticello, MN.
